Services  /  Pilot Sprint

Fixed fee · time-boxed

Test the motion before you scale it.

A short, fixed-fee engagement with a defined scope and a defined end date. You find out whether outsourced business development works on your offer — with real data rather than a projection — before committing to anything ongoing.

What a Pilot Sprint actually is

A Pilot Sprint is a complete BD motion, compressed. We build the account list, write the messaging, run the outreach, handle the replies and qualify what comes back — inside a window short enough that you get an answer quickly and long enough that the answer means something.

It is deliberately fixed-fee. You know the cost before it starts, and it does not convert into a retainer unless you decide it should.

At the end you have three things: a researched account list you keep, a tested set of messaging that either worked or visibly didn’t, and an honest read on whether this channel deserves ongoing investment for your business.

Deliverables

What you get

  • Week 0Kick-off: your offer, your best existing customers, your qualification criteria, the accounts you already own and don’t want touched.
  • ResearchA built account list with named decision-makers, verified contact paths and the reason each account is on it.
  • MessagingOutreach copy written for the segment and tested in-market, not a template with your name merged into it.
  • ExecutionMulti-channel outreach run on a defined cadence, with real people handling every reply.
  • QualificationEvery interested response tested against the criteria agreed in week 0.
  • MeetingsQualified meetings booked directly into your calendar with full context attached.
  • Close-outA written read-out: what we targeted, what landed, what didn’t, what we’d change, and whether we think you should continue.

Best for

This is the right model if…

  • You have never outsourced business development and want evidence before you commit
  • Your offer is clear and at least one customer has already bought it
  • You want a fixed, known cost rather than an open-ended retainer
  • You can take meetings within a week of them being booked
  • You are willing to hear that the channel isn’t working, if that’s what the data says

Questions

Before you ask us

How long is a sprint?

Short enough to get an answer, long enough for outreach to compound — typically a few weeks, agreed before we start. The exact window depends on your sales cycle and how long your buyers take to respond.

What happens if the sprint doesn’t produce meetings?

You get the close-out read-out either way, and you keep the research. If the honest conclusion is that this channel is wrong for your offer — or that the offer itself needs work before outreach can succeed — we’ll say so rather than sell you a retainer.

Do I have to continue afterwards?

No. The sprint is designed to end cleanly. Continuing into a Dedicated BD Pod or Growth Partnership is a separate decision you make with the sprint results in front of you.

Who owns the data we build?

You do. The account list, the contact research and the messaging are yours at the end of the engagement, regardless of what you decide next.

What do you need from me?

A kick-off session, a clear definition of a good customer, access to whoever can answer product questions, and a calendar that has room in it. That’s most of it.

Start with a sprint.

Fixed scope, fixed fee, a written answer at the end. Tell us what you sell and we’ll scope one.
